If you haven't organized, Now is when to start!

When you hear the word"organize," you immediately think about tedious, long, boring work. But I have great news for you…it doesn't have to be like that. Now can be a great day to start, today can be that day, or well maybe tomorrow.  All you need to do is decide that you want to do it. Don't overwhelm yourself by thinking you will do your whole home in one day, start by making a plan first, and work on from there. Here are some basic organizing tips you MUST follow in order to archive gorgeous organized spaces. When you least expect it you will be enjoying the process.

1. Space at a time. If it has a cost, do I every 2 weels so you don't feel the expense.

2. Don't buy bins/canisters/baskets YET. First declutter, get rid of stuff, then buy. You don't know with what you are going to end up with.

3. Your organizing needs maintenance…FOREVER AND ALWAYS.

4.  411…Real 411…Be realistic. Nobody knows your home like you do.

5. Decluttering is hard…on the other hand…cluttering…EASY. Don'y be hasty, decluttering takes time and sometimes may seem too difficult because it requires you to Let Go.

6. Start by discarding, all at once, intensely and completely. Do not think of putting your things away until you have finished the process of discarding.

7. The best sequence in order to discard is this (The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up): clothes first, then books, papers, kimono (miscellany, and lastly, mementos.

8. Don't give up…Woot! Woot! Now or Never!

9. Teach your system. Believe it or not, the people who live at your home will not guess it, and it is the only way to maintain your new shining organizing system.

10. You are THEE example. The mothership…put the "stuff"where it belongs. That's easy.

11. Remember to label your things, and always store them in an obvious spot.

12. Teach your family (the hubby will probably nag). Personally, I am not willing to clean up after every member of the family, they need to get it together!

13. Store all items of the same type in the ams place and don't scatter storage space.

14. The correct order for tidying is: clothes, books, papers, kimono, sentimental items.

15. The order for organizing clothes is the following: tops, bottoms, clothes that should be hung, socks, underwear, bags, accessories, clothes for specific events (swimsuits, uniforms, etc), shoes.
