Refresh the Bedroom

Your bedroom should be a sanctuary, and place of quiet and relaxation. Having said this, it is very important to not have "outside noise," meaning clutter, work papers, clothes, kids toys, and any other thing you can think of that doesn't really belong there.

It doesn't take much time to accomplish having a peaceful, organized room. There are just a few things you must keep in mind.

The master bedroom is a place to relax and recharge for the following day. You want it to be a peaceful and restful place, and here's how to do that.

  1. Wash linen weekly. Takes time and effort, but totally worth it.

  2. Put stuff where they belong. Make sure there is not clutter because it creates anxiety, and we don't want that.

  3. Diffuse some lavender right onto your pillows and sheets. 1 tablespoon isopropyl alcohol, 20 drops lavender essential oil, and filled bottle of distilled water. In a 4-oz glass bottle combine all ingredients

  4. Shut down all the extra noise. Turn of the television, tablets, tech gadgets, social media etc. Instead go for a book or play calm music, we don't want electronic stimuli before we are shutting down.

So there you have it. Not difficult, right?! Just remember maintenance is key and to always put back stray things that somehow wind up in your room. Before you know it, you'll have that special quiet relaxing room you've always wanted.
