Even your Linen Closets deserves to be Neat!

Some people ignore their linens closet because most of the time it is not in plain sight. But your linens also deserve to be in an organized space, and its not difficult to achieve. It's a space that everyone uses and you don't need much time and effort to have it organized and neat. Getting it in order is an easy task and I am here to tell you how. Follow these basic tips and you'll be set.

1. Observe your current system. Take a few minutes to step back and observe your current organizational system. Do you have one? Is it functional? Is everything in its place? Is it easy to follow? Are there things that don't even belong there? Answer these questions so that you have a better idea of the changes you need to make and what organizational system to use. This will help you keep things in place with not a lot of effort.

2. Take everything out, that's right, everything. Go ahead and take everything out of the closet, you need a clean and fresh canvas to work on. Your shelves and floor space need to be empty, and very importantly clean. That means wiped down and vacuumed. This would be a good time to discard anything you don't need or use, and pick out those things you want to donate.

3. My favorite part, Label. You can label anyway you want. With a label maker, colorful markers, tags, stickers, etc. You choose what works best for you. It is very important to designate what and how your going to place your items, and it needs to be done a way in which your family members know where to find things, and most importantly, where to store them. Labeling also helps maintain the closet neat and organized, without much guidance. Some categories you could keep in mind are towels, sheet sets, blankets, quilts, pillows, and pillowcases. Some people like to keep some bathroom products like toilet paper, hand soap, and air fresheners. You decide what needs to go into the closet and what works best for you.

4. Fold like a Pro. There are many folding methods out there, but you need to choose which one works for you. There is no wrong answer. By now you probably know that I am a huge fan of the Three Way Fold for clothes, and the same goes for towels and sheets. You can choose what you like best, but the important thing to keep in mind is to be consistent. Fold all of your items the same way, so your closet can be more space-efiicient and looks more neat and tidy.

5. You need to Set Limits. In order to maintain your closet organized you need set limits as to how much of what you are going to store.I recommend having three sets of sheets per bed and there towels and washcloths per person in your household. Here is a chance to discard. Take out the ones you don't want and donate them, the chances are you probably don't need that many.

So here you go! Very easy tips to follow to get your linen closet in shape. It doesn't take much time and you'll be very happy with the results.
